Drumroll please………  This August, Charlie Boy will be getting a little brother, and new lifetime BFF!  We are already bracing for the trouble they’ll get into, but are so excited for all the fun they will have together!  I see a lot of coffee and wine in our future to keep up with two little boys…

The first couple months of this pregnany felt very different.  I wasn’t as sick and my skin was breaking out more, so I was totally confident we were getting a little girl.  At least until the day before our reveal.  At my first appointment to meet my new doctor in Denver, they did a quick ultrasound to check everything out.  As soon as the doctor said, “Wow, this baby is really moving around!” the flashbacks to crazy baby Charlie kicked in, and I knew we were getting another little wild man!  Charlie was a VERY active baby during pregnancy (and has lived up to it ever since he came out, too!) so it was a dead giveaway.  This time I could hardly believe it when I started feeling this baby move around the beginning of just my 12th week.  I immediately texted Will to tell him I had a strong new hunch.  We went to lunch at Hopdoddy the next day and bit into cupcakes to see what we were having.  Sure enough, the icing inside was light blue!!!  I will post the video on my insta later.  Charlie was lukewarm on the whole brother thing, but all about the cupcakes!

I truly can’t believe I am going to have two boys (for someone who is extremely girly, this shocks many people, myself included LOL), but being a boy mom has been so fun, and Charlie and I have such an amazing connection.  He is a mama’s boy to the max, from our morning snuggle sesh until we rock to sleep at bedtime–and you’ll never hear me complain about it :).  I eat it up and can’t wait to have such a special bond with two sweet boys.  I know I am one lucky lady and already love to think about the amazing, adorable gentlemen they will grow up to be.

For now my life is filled with lots of blue, dinosaurs, baseballs, and all the boy things.  It’s definitely still sinking in, but we are so thankful for God’s gifts and trust in His plan.  So I am raising up a mocktail to cheers all you boy mamas out there!  So blessed for this pregnancy and cherishing the next 6 months of solo time with our sweet Charlie Boy.

Posting a first trimester recap this week and will include all the details on how I found out I was pregnant and how I told Will.  It’s a fun story!  Also thank you to my awesome friends for help connecting me to my OBGYN practice here in Denver.  They have been really helpful and sweet so far.
